Personally I think the OP is trying to solve a problem which doesn’t exist If you’re close enough to a tap to use a gadget which is permanently connected to a tap then your close enough to manually top up with a hose every couple or three days. That’s why I think they’re rubbish. Assuming the tank full signal works, as the vehicle rocks for whatever reason, the water sloshes in the tank causing the pump to cycle on and off. This causes a wave effect which continues the cycle. Actually I’ve just realised that I’ve described the gadget which does it from an external container. Whale make another gadget which connects to a hose and fits into the same socket on the side of the vehicle as the thing I described. It has no power so I’m not totally sure how it works but it does stop once the tank is full and no water comes out the overflow.

Does not include electric vehicle charging. The other categories are typically AC applications and usually have much more restricted input ranges. Any current perceived weakness is generally a result of cost reduction and market forces rather than any fundamental technical difficulties. Where opportunities do exist they are often for specific parts of the overall load and often small parts in terms of total demand. Electrical wiring In many countries, household power is single-phase electric power , with two or three wired contacts at each outlet.
Neutral and line wires carry current and are defined as live parts. The neutral is connected to the ground Earth , and therefore has nearly the same electrical potential as the earth. This prevents the power circuits from increasing beyond earth voltage, such as when they are struck by lightning or become otherwise charged. The earth wire or ground connects the chassis of equipment to earth ground as a protection against faults electric shock , such as if the insulation on a “hot” wire becomes damaged and the bare wire comes into contact with the metal chassis or case of the equipment.

Exposed V metal carrying V is dangerous, and the pins on the back side of the PCB, the exposed screws, and any stripped wires could also cause shorts or electrocution. On the note of A decent way to mains power to your device would be to add a panel-mount power connector like the IEC C14 receptacles commonly found on PCs, monitors, and TVs for power input: You and your potential customers probably have a few cables for these receptacles lying around.

Mains Hook-up Cable Considerations. The quality and condition of the mains EHU affects how things work in the vehicle. This EHU lead was from my own van, everything worked fine except the Water never got Hot on v, it got warm, so the element was clearly working, just never got above tepid. On Gas the water heated up to full temperature. The charger ran the lights and charged the battery, the Television worked perfectly on v and our Volt Meter inside the van showed v at the 13amp sockets.
I cut the cable back to sound Copper and fitted a new Blue Socket and the Water Heater worked perfectly. I can only guess that the contact inside the connector was just good enough to supply everything, except the high current of the Water Heater? That shows the type of impact the EHU cable can have. When you need to be on EHU you want to maximise every amp at the Bollard especially if it is s 3amp Site, you might be surprised what part the Hook-up cable plays.
The reason the British Standard for an EHU cable, BS , specifies a 25amp cable for extra safety capacity and strength with minimal heating in the cable. As the temperature rises so the resistance increases inflicting a bigger voltage drop. It is not just about safety but usability, as the correct cable can give more usable power inside the Motorhome. The cable had undersized 1.

There was no reference to “tree huggers” or “prepaid pitch meters” so these points are irrellevant to this discussion! The clubs and campsites in general used this “inclusive of Electricity” pricing structure as a method of generating additional revenue of which only a small part of the pitch price rise went towards paying for the electricity used.
Consequently many caravanners now have the attitude of “I’ve paid for it, so I’ll use as much as I want”.
Using mains electricity The vast majority of caravanners make extensive use of mains electricity to power a range of appliances while attached to an electric hook-up (EHU) on campsites. This is a best practice guide to using these services safely.
Understanding electricity on the camp site! Almost all modern campsites have a provision for mains power supplies, delivered via an electrical hook up post within each ‘pitch’. This is by far the easiest way to power your television, laptop, hairdryer or even microwave on the go. But remember the camp site is responsible only for the safe delivery of electricity up to the outlet socket on the hook-up post. All campers have a responsibility to ensure that the cable from the post, the connection to their own caravan, motorhome or tent and that of the equipment being used is maintained to a safe level and respectful of other camp site users.
Sites will not accept responsibility for the use of any unsafe or unsuitable equipment and reserve the right to instruct campers to disconnect such equipment. It is their site and their power supply after all.

Step 3 of 6: Expect somewhere between a quarter and a third of that speed. Devolo claims this allows for longer range as well as faster transfer speeds. That makes it a great option if you need to connect an iPhone, iPad, or MacBook to your broadband connection from somewhere its own wireless signal struggles to reach.

It is unusual for it to happen in the UK, it is more likely to happen when touring on the continent. So what is it and how does it affect you? Simply, it is the live and neutral wires are the wrong way round on the EHU bollard. To understand how the situation comes about we need to go back in history a bit. Quite simple really and quite safe.
So we and the rest of Europe carried on switching both wires. The electricians in Europe liked the idea of an earth cable so they had a yellow one… or green depending in which country you were in. Now I may have just re-written history slightly there… but I think you can grasp what went on. So what goes on when you plug your caravan into a bollard?. It returns up the Blue wire and back to the EHU bollard.
When you switch off your toaster, it turns off the Brown wire and stops the current flowing.

Customer Reviews for the USB to Mains Adapter UK ma Good charger – by Allan, 7 June 4 Good quality charger and would have got five stars if the usb connection was orientated so the led indicator on the lead was pointed outwards Nice and compact – by Mike, 2 March 4 Great little charger, well made and compact but I do have to agree with an earlier comment made that when used with the V31 type batteries and charger the little LED points to the wall.
You can tell it’s charged as the led at the end of the battery goes out but why have an LED on the usb charger only to face it away from the user? Other than that point – well made charger. Good quality – by amanda, 1 December 5 This adaptor is well made and sturdy and some I have bought are made of flimsy plastic that cracks. Works well with the jac vapour compatible usb lead to charge my vgo2 batteries.
Design Flaw – by Ron, 4 April 2 This does what it’s meant to do but in my humble opinion, it has a major design flaw.
